Version 2 Bouldr iPhone App Now Out
30 Jun 2010 by Matt
Finally, and after a total rewrite that took a couple of months longer than expected, the new version of the Bouldr iPhone app is out!
In this version
Incremental Sync
The old sync stuff required the whole database to be reloaded, whereas the new version only updates those items that have changed, meaning sync time is significantly shorter.
Topos for Everyone
Map topos are now available in the free version of the app. I made this available as I find the topo view to be one of the most useful features, and I didn’t want anyone to miss out. To access the topos, tap on the marker button in the top-right of the climb list.
Redesigned interface
The old interface was rough around the edges, and more than a little clunky. I took this opportunity to redesign much of the look and feel of the app, making things a lot prettier in the process.
Advertising
I’ve added an advertising banner to the free app, moving from the old text-adverts to much more appealing image ads. If you are interested in appearing on the iPhone app, please drop be an email, and I’ll send you further details.
