New Version of the Bouldr iPhone App Submitted
06 Dec 2009 by Matt
I’ve just sent the next version of the Bouldr iPhone app off to Apple for approval, so we should hopefully see the much-anticipated update available for download soon.
I’d like to thank all of our beta testers that have provided a load of really good feedback for the app – we’ve built that app based on all of the feedback we have received, leaving very little to chance. I hope that you’ll all still send me feedback as more revisions of the app are released; with your help I can make the app as good as it can be.
Special thanks goes to Jason, Paul, nevko and Gareth for all of their help and feedback.
Changes since last version
- Works at the crag without needing an Internet connection
- Lists climbs for areas you’ve selected in your account under ‘Guidebooks’
- Add and update climbs while at the crag, then send the changes to Bouldr later
- Removed Google Maps integration, as this required an Internet connection
- Faster climb listing and minor improvements to the climb display
- Distance to guidebook tells you how close you are to your selected regions
Coming soon
The next version will include an area overview feature that allows you to see the relative position of climbs along with your own location. I’ll be building in support for showing topos on this view, too.
Tell me what you want
I need your feedback to build the app, so post in the forum or contact me directly, and I can add your comments to our growing list. We base all features, fixes and adjustments on the feedback we receive, so make your voice heard!
