As you may have read in our about page, we want to build a free, open database of climbs from all over the world, and allow anyone to access it. The problem is that I had (stupidly) forgotten to license the data on Bouldr appropriately.

In order to fix this, I have now relicensed the climb and topo data under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 UK: England & Wales License.

Note this only applies to the data, not the Bouldr logo, content of the blog, or the software I have written for the site or iPhone app.

I’m working on the methods by which we can make information about climbs and topos portable, so if anyone has any interest in that, please feel free to help out!
