5K Isn’t that far! (Is It?)

Agreeing to run 5K seemed like a really good idea at the time - I would be able to build my stamina, get away from the computer screen, and at the same time raise money for a charity that I have always felt everyone should support; Cancer Research UK.

Unfortunately for me, I had forgotten exactly how bad a runner I am, which was brought swiftly to my attention after I went for my first training session. I finished after approximately fifteen minutes, having only completed around 2K. I was knackered. Everything was blurry, I was bright red, and almost sure I could see into the future.

That was two months ago.

I am still paying for the past few years of neglecting any cardiovascular exercise, but it’s all getting better. The run itself is on the 4th June in Heaton Park in Manchester (UK), so I have approximately six weeks to get myself into a state where I can look credible at the finish line.

The whole (thinly veiled) point of this post is basically to ask anyone who can to sponsor me

Wish me luck!

Not Dead Yet!

It’s been a while since I have updated this place - mainly due to the plethora of other commitments I have, and the lack of more than 24 hours in any given day.

A new version of Bouldr is in the pipeline, including a simplified climb editor, a new theme and better support for exploring the climbs listed. It’ll be here soon (honest!), so stay tuned.
